Residents in the New Forest District Council area can purchase a parking clock which lasts for one year (1 Jan - 31 Dec). These can be purchased from NFDC online, by phone (01590 646123) or in person from the council offices in Lymington and Lyndhurst, and in many of the local Information Centres.

Prices increase each year but 2010 prices were £12 for three hours parking or £86 for all day parking. To park for more than three hours either move your car to a different car park after your three hours has expired or simply buy extra time at the ticket machine when you park. Note - parking clocks work in most New Forest car parks but not in car parks in popular tourist areas such as Keyhaven and Lymington Quay.
